After two 2nd places and a 4th place finish in previous races, Pablo Dapena Gonzales put together another excellent performance to take home 3rd place in Challenge Gdansk. The BMC athlete raced in front of the race all day long after a more than solid swim, bike and run performance to finish in a time 3:49:21. James Teagle (GBR; 3:46:14) won the race in front of Matt Trautman (RSA; 3:48:18). With yet another podium finish Gonzalez takes over the lead in the Challenge Family World Ranking.
read more...Max Neumann put together an astonishing performance to take the repeat win at Ironman Cairns and to crown himself Asia-Pacific Champion for the second year in a row. Racing from the front all day long in impressive fashion, the BMC triathlete finished in a spectacular winning time of 7:58:55. Fellow countryman Tim Van Berkel claimed second in 8:06:39 with Josh Amberger finishing third (8:10:12).
read more...Katrina Matthews took home an incredible 2nd place at the Ironman North American Championship in Tulsa. Even a 5 minute penalty, couldn’t stop Matthews claiming the silver. Katrina posted a unbelievable 2:49:49 marathon, the 3rd fastest female marathon of all time in Ironman history. The BMC Pro athlete crossed the finish line in a time of 8:45:35. Daniella Ryf (SUI; 8:40:34) won the race with Sky Moench (USA; 8:47:45) finishing in third position.
