Romain Guillaume 3rd in Ironman France Ronnie Schildknecht 6th in ITU Long Distance World Championchips Motala (SWE)

Today, Romain Guillaume (FRA: 8:34:44) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team raced on home soil and finished 3rd in Ironman France. Boris Stein (GER: 8:27:32), last year’s winner of Ironman Switzerland, won after a strong run, while Victor Del Corral (ESP: 8:30:00), who ran the fastest marathon today, came 2nd. Yesterday, Ronnie Schildknecht (SUI: 4:58:41) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came 6th in ITU Long Distance World Championships in Motala, Sweden. It was a tight battle, the top 7 finished within 4 minutes. This edition was won by Cyril Viennot (FRA: 4:54:33), followed by Martin Jensen who was leading most of the race (DEN: 4:54:46), while Joe Skipper (GBR: 4:55:11) finished 3rd.

Bart Aernouts wins Citytriathlon Bruges (olympic distance) & Sofie Goos 3rd in Ironman 70.3 Luxembourg

Yesterday, Bart Aernouts (BEL) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team won the Citytriathlon of Bruges (olympic distance) on home soil in style with the strongest bike split and a fast run leg, followed by Hannes Vandermoere (BEL), while Tom Mets (BEL) finished third. A few hours earlier, his teammate Sofie Goos (BEL: 4:24:46) started off at Ironman 70.3 Luxembourg. The 2013 winner came 3rd in this edition behind the strong winner Gulia Gajer (GER: 4:17:25) - who led the race from start to finish - and Natascha Schmitt (GER:4:24:46). It ended up being another successful weekend for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team with 1 title and a 3rd place. This brings our 2015 total already to 10 wins and 21 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.

Liz Blatchford wins Ironman Cairns; Romain Guillaume 3rd & Will Clarke 4th in Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire

Yesterday, Dirk Bockel (LUX) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team made his comeback in style after a long recovery period from a hip injury by winning Challenge Denmark (half distance). His teammate, Liz Blatchford followed that example and realized a threepeat at Ironman Cairns. The 3 times consecutive winner in Cairns led from start to finish and finished in a time of 9:11:49, followed by Gina Crawford (AUS: 9:20:56), while Michelle Bremer (GER: 9:35:32) finished third. A few hours later, her teammates Romain Guillaume and Will Clarke started off at the first edition of the Ironman 70.3 Staffordshire. This inaugural edition was won by Javier Gomez (ESP: 04:02:13), followed by Thomschke Markus, who had the fastest bike leg, while Romain Guillaume (FRA: 04:09:07) and Will Clarke (GBR: 04:11:10) came respectively third and forth It ended up being another successful weekend for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team with 2 titles, a 3rd place and a strong top 5 finish. This brings our 2015 total already to 9 wins and 19 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.

Dirk Bockel wins Challenge Denmark (half distance)

Today, Dirk Bockel (LUX) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team made his comeback in style after a long recovery period from a hip injury. He led strong from start to finish to win in a time of 3:51:16, followed by Thomas Strange (DEN: 3:52:12) and Markus Fachbach (GER: 3:52:45). This is perfect start of the weekend for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team. This brings our 2015 total already to 8 wins and 17 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.

Launch Uplace-BMC Age Group Team

The Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team proudly presents the launch of the Uplace-BMC Age Group Team. From now on, every age group triathlete can grab the opportunity to join the Uplace-BMC Triathlon Team and become a teammate of Dirk Bockel, Will Clarke and Corinne Abraham. They can wear the same outfit as Ronnie Schildknecht, Sofie Goos and Helle Frederiksen and receive first hand tips and advice from Liz Blatchford, Bart Aernouts and Romain Guillaume.

Ronnie Schildknecht 4th in Ironman 70.3 Rapperswil

Today, Ronnie Schildknecht (SUI: 3:54:19) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team – who came 3rd in the North American Ironman Championship in Texas only 3 weeks ago - came 4th in Ironman 70.3 Rapperswil. It is always special to race on your home soil. On Twitter, the ambitions of the Swiss triathletes were clear, they aimed on nothing less than a ‘Swiss only’ podium and they succeeded. This edition was won by Ruedi Wild (SUI: 3:51:27), followed by Manuel Küng who was leading most of the race (SUI: 3:52:38), while Jan Van Berkel (SUI: 3:53:38) finished 3rd.

Bart Aernouts 3rd in Challenge Rimini ETU European Half Distance Championship; Will Clarke 8th in Ironman Lanzarote

Today, Bart Aernouts (BEL) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came 3rd in Challenge Rimini, the ETU European Championship Half Distance, his second Championship podium in 2 months. Filip Ospaly (CZE) won the ETU European Half Distance Championship after a strong run, while Giulio Molinari (ITA), who dominated the bike leg, came 2nd. Yesterday, Will Clarke (GBR: 9:28:31) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came 8th in his debut Ironman in Lanzarote. This extremely tough edition was won by Alessandro Degasperi (ITA: 8:56:49), followed by Christian Kramer who was leading most of the race (GER: 8:59:30), while Mauro Baertsch (SUI: 9:04:45) finished 3rd. Just like last week, it ended up being another successful weekend for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team with 1 championship podium finish and a decent debut performance on the long distance. This brings our 2015 total already to 7 wins and 16 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.

Ronnie Schildknecht 3rd in Ironman Texas, Corinne Abraham 5th & Sofie Goos 10th

With 3 athletes at the start grid of Ironman Texas, the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team was well represented in the North American Championship Ironman. The men's podium was dominated by Matt Hanson (USA: 8:07:03), with a deserved win in a new course record, Joe Skipper (GBR: 8:16:26) came second and Ronnie Schildknecht (SUI: 8:21:03) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came third after a strong come back. The women's race was won by Angela Naeth (CAN: 8:55:19), followed by Leanda Cave (GBR: 8:58:12) and Rachel Joyce (GBR: 9:05:02). Corinne Abraham (GBR: 9:12:20) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came 5th after a solid race with the fastest bike split. Her teammate Sofie Goos finished in 10th position (BEL: 9:27:58). This brings the 2015 total already to 7 wins and 14 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.

Liz Blatchford finished 2nd in Ironman 70.3 Vietnam

Liz Blatchford of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team came second in yesterday's Ironman 70.3 Vietnam. Very hot and humid Another great result for Liz Blatchford yesterday in IM70.3 Vietnam. Liz finished 2nd in very hot and humid conditions. Caroline Steffen won the race in 4:21:40. Liz finished 2' later in 4:23:48 (splits 26:10 - 2:23:06 - 1:30:42). Dimity-Lee Duke came third.

Will Clarke wins Mallorca Olympic Triathlon; Corinne Abraham wins the Volcano Triathlon in Lanzarote Liz Blatchford 2nd in Ironman 70.3 Busselton; Romain Guillaume 11th in Ironman 70.3 Pays d’Aix

Today, Will Clarke (GBR: 1:45:15) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team won the Mallorca Olympic Triathlon. In a sprint finish, Will was 3” faster than the young Linus Stimmel (GER: 1:45:18), Dmitry Rostyagaev (RUS: 1:46:52) completed the podium. At the same moment, his teammate Romain Guillaume (FRA:4:08:03) came 11th in the Ironman 70.3 Pays d’Aix. Andi Boecherer (GER: 3:57:21), who made his come-back after a long recovery due to a car crash, won the race only 12” ahead of Boris Stein (GER: 3:57:33), Jan Van Berkel (SUI: 3:59:30) finished 3rd. Yesterday, Corinne Abraham (GBR) of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team – who came 4th in last week’s Half Challenge Fuerteventura - won the Volcano Triathlon in Lanzarote (Olympic distance), before multiple Ironman Champion Michelle Vesterby (DAN) and Saleta Castro (ESP). While her teammate Liz Blatchford (AUS:4:18:40) came 2nd in Ironman 70.3 Busselton. Felicity Sheedy-Ryan (AUS:4:16:18) took the win in Western Australia, Katey Gibb (AUS:4:19:18) finished 3rd on the Australian podium. Just like last week, it ended up being another successful weekend for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team with 2 strong victories and a solid podium performance. This brings our 2015 total already to 7 wins and 13 podium finishes for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team.
